The Department of Information Systems in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for faculty positions at the open rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor starting Fall 2023.

 

The W. P. Carey School of Business values our cultural and intellectual diversity, and continually strives to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.  We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of the academic community.  Essential Functions:  The candidate must contribute to the Department of Information Systems’ mission in the areas of research, teaching and service, and must be able and willing to teach business analytics and information systems courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Assistant Professor - 1) A PhD in business administration, information systems, or a closely related field; ABD candidates must successfully defend their dissertation by July 1, 2023; 2) Evidence of potential for excellence in research publications at top-tier journals and a promising agenda.

 

Associate Professor – 1) A PhD in business administration, information systems or a closely related field; 2) A record of research excellence as evidenced by papers published in premier academic journals including an active research agenda and professional experience within the IS profession; 3) A demonstrated record of teaching excellence within information systems and/or business analytics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

 

Full Professor – 1) A PhD in business administration, information systems or a closely related field; 2) A record of research excellence as evidenced by papers published in premier academic journals including an active research agenda and demonstrated leadership within the IS profession; 3) A demonstrated record of teaching excellence within information systems and/or business analytics at both undergraduate and graduate levels; 4.) Significant service and contribution to the Information Systems profession as evidenced by current or past editorial board memberships of premier academic journals, conferences, and workshops.

 

Desired Qualifications:

Assistant Professor - 1) A strong research agenda as evidenced by papers published or forthcoming in premier academic journals; 2) Demonstrated evidence of teaching potential for excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels; 3) Involvement with industry partnerships and a record of externally funded research.

Associate/Full Professor – 1) Scholarly publications that demonstrate interdisciplinary focus in research contributions; 2) Experience with executive education; 3) Leadership with industry partnerships and a record of externally funded research.

Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool.  Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed every two weeks in the order in which they were received until the position is filled.
